MANOS

MANOS is an instrumental concept album about a scientist involved in a covert Soviet project during the Cold War. The facility centers on a 143-meter robot, a feat of engineering controlled by MANOS (Master Automated Non-Resistance Operating System). MANOS was developed by Ivan Smirnov, who died shortly after its completion. With Cold War tensions rising, an American missile targets the facility. In response, MANOS locks down the lab with an iron curtain to shield the scientists. When the missile strikes, MANOS is destroyed, leaving the scientists trapped with no way out. The events of the album follow five days.
